There are 15 siblings in my family, one has the power to pull life support, my mother was never on life support just oxygen, she was breathing on her own and talking, new what day it was and who each of us were. She was in the hospital and somehow the decision came to take her off oxygen and pump her full of drugs so she wouldn't feel it? We waited for my brother to show up and from what I was told if she didn't want to remove her mask that it was her decision after he showed up. The nurses came in after my brother showed up to switch her oxygen mask to one that would as they put it "allow her to live for 5 min. to 4 hrs". When they went to due this she told them "no" and they left the room. This all was at 1:00a.m. and there were about 12 of us there then. Me and four of my brothers and sisters stayed all night, at 5:00a.m. my sister texted me while sitting in the room that she wanted the mask off at 6:00a.m. and to see if I was alright with that knowing my mom didn't want it off and my little brother and I very much against it. I told my sister that when my little brother woke up we would all talk and see how mom was doing then and go from there. I left just before 6a.m. to get something to eat and a coffee, when I returned from the room they had just switched masks and pulled a needle from her full of pain medicine and something I can't remember, needless to say my mom was out, still breathing but doped up too much to talk. My sister told the nurses to do it while I was gone and my little brother sleeping in the room where my mother was. My mom woke up a couple of hours later and realized what was on her face (oxygen mask) and said "well I guess I'll be going soon, now" since she never told them to do this. I left the hospital to take a shower and was on my way back when I got a text from my little brother telling me that the doctors are dropping the oxygen by (1) every hour until she goes, apparently she was going to live longer than they thought so my sister again gave them the o.k. to put her down in this way without consulting the family. By the way the sister that was giving the instructions to the doctor was not the one listed in my mothers living will to make these decisions, but she is the executor of estate and will not show anyone the will and has taken stuff from my mothers house without telling anyone and is selling stuff without allowing the beneficiaries time to go through my parents personal belongings like my parents wanted. What I would like to know is, what are our rights and what laws are out there for what my sister did to my mother and is still doing to my mother? How do you stop the person who gave the o.k. to kill your mother with the istance of a hospital??? Please help me figure this out, thanks.

My best friend is being mean?

My friend (we have been best friends for 7 years) keeps bringing me down. I know for a fact she has a really bad home life, her parents are mean and make her take care of her baby brother and sister, she is only 12, and she has way too responsibilities. Do you find Dr Oz is condescending to other Doctors who don't agree with him?

Any time Dr. Oz comes on to comment about some other doctor's research that doesn't tow the line with the AMA. He acts very condescending and says things like "People like you keep us on our toes by making us look at unconventional viewpoints", but in the end says that he opens up people on a daily basis he sees things more clearly than them. i dont really think so. you need to get a good amount of everything everyday. you cant just split the food groups up within the week. this diet will prolly help you lose weight but not in a healthy way. you have to remember that normal calorie count in a day is about 2100. that calorie count needs to consist of the things you need to consumeograins vegetables, fruits, fats and oils, milk and dairy products, meat, beans, fish, and nuts... all in one day. go to a doctor and talk to them if any questions. Why do people who come from broken homes do this?

I am from a broken home but I am grown up now. People like that are hurt inside, they don't understand what it is like to be "whole" and "happy". Even if they know the split up was not their fault it still leaves scares and doubt. Some try to fix this brokenness with alcohol or drugs. They will even try to make you feel bad so you can understand how they feel inside "Misery Loves Company". There isn't really anything you can do to fix them other than kill them with kindness and show them you have confidence in yourself.

I have a Fender American Deluxe Strat and it just doesn't stay in tune that well. Originally the bridge was floating, but I've since fixed that so it's more or less flush with the body now. Ok, I normally ask my friends this, but I decided to get the opinon of other women. I'm on orthotri-cyclen (well Trinessa) for about 3 months now. I take the pill everyday, at the same time. About 2 weeks ago, I got diaherrra right after I took the pill. I was still having without a backup. I'm on my inactive week now, and I usually get my period on Thursday, but I haven't gotten it yet. I'm a little worried because usually it comes like clockwork. But last month the date that I got it was the 21st and it's only the 19th. So, should I wait a few days to take a pregnancy test, or should I take one now? I'm not having any signs of pregnancy, other than a little weight gain. FAFSA loan help please?

I just got my financial aid report back for college and I'm so confused. Last year I just got a Subsidized Federal Direct Loan and an Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan. This year, I got each of those and then an "Other Loan" worth more than the other 2 combined. What the heck is this "other loan"? Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

First I want to start by saying I LOVE GILMORE GIRLS. I hate this love triangle thing that is going on. I just saw the lifetime movie and I am not really sure that she is guilty ot innocent because there was very little evidence that supports she did do it and she sounded really convincing that she didn't do it. If you plug this into a calculator or MATLAB, you will get the answer to be 3344556600, but this is because the computer and a calculator run out of memory to store a number (due to having 64-bits in double precision). There is a way of simplifying the Pythagorean theorem (that's my best guess on this problem) similar to how the quadratic equation can be multiplied by its conjugate to find the value of one root of a quadratic in terms of another. Macbook vs. PC Laptop, Reliability?

Apple (MacBooks) hardly crash if ever. Also if you purchase the Apple Care your fully covered for any problems you may have. Now in now way am I a fanboy or anything I own both Macs and PCs. I will be purchasing a Gaming Rig (Windows) within the next 2 months. I have 3 PC Laptops and a MacBook Pro as well as an iMac. I find myself using Macs more at least now because its more fluid and less bugs. The good thing about Macs are they are less vulnerable to Viruses and Malware. Windows have a larger industry which is why they have more Viruses. In my opinion if you purchase a Windows machine you have to purchase Norton or some other security. I have it on all of my machines. The Reliability of Macs are amazing in my honest opinion. They are solid, rigid, more robust overall. One key feature that Macs are great for is that you can run Windows on them using Boot Camp. So in reality people might say Macs are overpriced but in reality its like getting 2 computers a Mac and a PC in one. The downside is they aren't good at gaming. But if you don't game your better off with a Mac.

My parents have been together for 15 years now, and alot of stuff has happened within my family since then, my mum used to smoke, but gave up before i was born (i'm almost 16) and recently, we have been going through alot of stress, We recently found out my older brother (17) has been a drug dealer and user for about a year now, and my mum has been going through grief as we live on an estate, there is alot of gang violence, and she was left traumatised, she is on anti-depressants and has also picked up smoking and drinking (bottles of wine), my father had liver failure about 8 years ago, and very nearly died, and my nan (dad's Mum) died 5 years ago from smoking and my dad's brother is a heroin addict, my father hates them all, and he hates everything my mother has become, i even woke up to a letter asking my mum if she wants a divorce, they have been fighting constantly, and i, myself, have been suffering with depression for a while, no clinically, as only my two best friends know about it, i also used to self harm, and from time to time, i do, i also went through a stage of being addicted to pills, just any pills, pill tails, OD sometimes, but i have always survived, i have been suicidal since i was in year 6 (aged 10) and no one knows my whole true story, but if my parents split up, i will have to most likely move to conrwall/devon with my mum, and considering i live in London, i don't want to go, and never see any of my friends and part of my family ever again, it will most likely be the end of me, what do i do?

I'm 21 years old and my cold started as a sore throat a few days ago. My throat doesn't really hurt anymore but I still have a cold. I feel my nose draining down my throat which causes me to cough up phlegm. Now today was the first time I coughed up a big ball of phlegm with blood in it. Am I okay? I need help, have been drinking way too much.....?

I am 32 years old, and started drinking when I was 15. Until I was 28 I was able to drink in normal gatherings and usually go to sleep at the end, around 5am. Since 4 years ago, it has been happening more and more that I cannot control my drinking. I have been drinking once a week now, and I usually start at 9, 10 pm and go until the next day around 4pm, 6pm!!!! This is crazy!!!! I know that I am under the influence of alcohol but I can function normally, I go to the supermarket, bank etc.... and I act normally. I feel like I can open up more when I drink, and less shy and very talkative and communicative. I smoke a lot too in those binges. After I wake up I feel terrible withdraw symptoms, paranoia etc.... I then don't smoke or drink for a week and then I do it again. When I am not drinking I might smoke a cigarette a day only. I don't know what to do, I don't know how I can drink so much and still function since most people just p out. I ask God to help me all the time. I keep thinking that it's because I have been unemployed for almost a year and feel hopeless etc.... I really want to seek help, a psychologist or a alcohol counselor. I look at pics of myself when I was little and I think what happened to this sweet girl? I am not going to do this to her! I can't! I swear to myself I won't drink again and just like clockwork at the 1 week mark an overwhelming desire, craving takes over and I start and won't stop until I drank like 2 1.5 liter bottles of wine or like 2 12 packs of beer. Any insights please?

Why am I defensive around my friends?

I find myself to be very defensive with my friends at times. I would take their advice as an insult, especially if it's unsolicited because I guess I feel like they shouldn't be telling me what to do. I have a problem with being afraid of being pushed around and being told what to do. I guess it stems from insecurity or something, I don't know. But I'm always on guard against being used by my friends. If one of my friends say something I consider to be insulting or condescending, I would find myself retaliating subtly through supposed "jokes" or sarcastically. I don't like this kind of behavior at all and I want to stop and just relax around my friends. I don't want to be on edge all the time and I definitely don't want to drive them away. Brown mother of the groom dress, is it appropriate?

My son is getting married next weekend. I have been shopping adnauseum for an appropriate dress. My husband has to wear a tux (yellow vest and tie). It is at 5p. The only dress I have found that is knee length (it is an outdoor wedding) is brown. Should I get checked for glaucoma?

The other day I went to the eye doctor and my eye pressure test revealed high eye pressure in both eyes. They mentioned this but didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I was too busy worrying about a chalazion that I was being treated for to ask more about the eye pressure. Now that my chalazion surgery is over I am worried about the eye pressure issue. I just looked it up and found it's direct link to glaucoma. In addition, I have had floaters in my eyes that I first noticed in 3rd grade (17 years ago). My mom tells me I am being silly... but should I schedule another appointment to get checked for glaucoma? I read that if not addressed in advanced that glaucoma can cause blindness. Am I just being a hypochondriac? Wouldn't the eye doctor have said something if the eye pressure was something to be concerned about? Thanks!!

My Puppy died two days after receiving vaccines?

I bought a 3 month old puppy on a Friday from a pet store, I took her to the vet the next Tuesday and had her vaccinated for Rabies, Lepto, and Distemper. When I left the vet no reactions had occurred and the puppy was eating and playing, that was on Tuesday. Wednesday the same thing she was eating and playing no complaints. Thursday I went to work only to find out that the dog was vomiting, later developed diarrhea. By the time I left work the same day I found my puppy in a lethargic state with severe diarrhea and vomiting. (With constant encouraging and even trying to place food near her mouth she refused to eat)Took her to the emergency vet services only to find out that her Sugar was so low from decreased appetite that she ended having several seizures. They had to keep her overnight while I made plans to transfer her to another vet service due to the expenses. The day after Friday( 1 wk from when I bought her) I go in to the emergency vet to pay my balance and she goes into Cardiac Arrest, CPR was performed and she didn't make it. I forgot to add I had already made an appointment at her regular vet for the same Friday for a check-up. Now I'm left with decreased appetite myself and find myself crying over and over. I goggled several scenarios about the vaccines and found out that severe reactions include Severe Diarrhea/Vomiting, Epilepsy/Seizures, Anaphylactic reactions and etc... My question is, is there some action I could take against the Lot #s pertaining to the vaccines? Or what action can I take?

I came to my best friends house 4hours ago and i was all happy and stuff but now we're both terrible. Her mother has gone to work. I went over to her stepdad and said hi and asked if hes fine and stuff.. then i went in my friends room and got on her laptop her msn was on remember my pword so i signed in. As soon as i signed in a offline message popped out. It was from her stepdad and the date it was sent was 5mintues ago it wrote; WE'LL HAVE ME AND YOU TIME TOMMOROW THEN.her father has a laptop too) i asked her about it and she told me everything. i asked her why she didnt tell me by then we were both crying.. she said that he would kill her if she had told a soul. then, i quickly got out of the room and shouted at him and asked him who the hell he think he was and that ill get him arrested. he slapped me and i just stood there and then i made a quick move to the homephone but he was quicker then me, he grapped the phone off my hands and told me to get in my friends room or else........ i was afraid.... i did as i was told. he is a creature, we locked the room and waited and waited for him to get out of the house but he wont. hes still in the living room .. we are too terrified to get out... and i left my mobile phone in the living room and so is my friends there...... my friend lives in an skyscr so we cant call neighbours or something.. arghhhhhh we cant do anything??? Can you have exercise induced asthma only when running?

Is it possible to only have asthma when running and not when doing other types of exercise? I'm in summer gym right now and I find myself getting severly out of breath really early on into running the mile but when I exercise on the eliptical bike inside for 45min I don't feel a thing. When I ride the bike, I do it a high resistance and relativly fast. Could it also be anxiety about running the mile? I already have an anxiety disorder that affects other things but I can't tell if its just that or if its asthma related.

How can i sing better?

Ok i am a drummer for a band that i have. Our band is a reck right now because we dont have the right singer. All we really have is me and this other guitarist. I am also a guitarist that write songs for this band and i am the only person who writes for this band. I feel that i need to show the band my song writing talent by singing with the songs i make. But i just cant sing. I cant articulate right and i need help. I am on a very low budget so no lessons. Example is that i cant sing high notes like those fake girl voices anymore since i turned 14. Why do i sometimes get garbled chinese characters replacing accented letters on my computer?

well im not completely sure but check in your lower right hand corner. Of course there is a clock and the tray bar thingy, well on the left from the tray you may have this little box with 2 or 3 letters in it. Thats a language bar and using it you can set different languages so later when its picked you can make signs and letters from that languages. Well if its not EN(English) than click on the box and there should be an option to pick English. Hope this helps im not really sure this is what you meant but i hope it is. And the pretty weird thing about it, it can change for no reason, i almost always have mine set to EN and sometimes all the sudden i see my web is messed up and i realize that the language bar for some reason changed the language. :)

I can't really move my legs, certainly not to exercise. I have damaged rotator cuffs so that I can't use my shoulders or arms to exercise either. About the only thing doing well is my spirits! I'm determined to get back to a good weight, about 160 lbs as I am 5'6". I've given up alcohol, refined sugar, and drink little milk or soda, only ginger ale occasionally for an upset stomach. My diet is healthy, lots of plain potatoes, plain rice, probably not enough veggies, chicken, and eggs. No fatty food or junk food or fast food. I'm not losing an ounce. What should I do? I play trombone full time, but I can play the saxophone too. I personally like the trombone best of all the instruments I can play, but my second favorite is sax. It has an awesome sound and you can play many different types of music. Once you learn the tenor sax, you can learn soprano sax, alto sax, and bari sax as well, depending on whether you like high sounds or low sounds. You can play in your band, but also in many different ensembles, including jazz band, which is really fun. (I play in the jazz band at my school on the trombone) No, it's definitely not a heavy instrument. Heavy instruments are the tuba, cello, b, and I guess you could say the baritone is heavy. If you like an instrument, don't let the weight stop you.

I think we have been caught?

I separated from my husband 3 months ago and have been dating my male mate secretly for the last month or so. He isn't the reason for our divorce, we have just started to spend more time together and one thing has led to another. My uncle is wasting away in a nursing home, but LOVES old fashioned, home made beef stew if it's THIN. He doesn't like "mush" he says. So, I know au jus works pretty well and some beef broth, but do I need some beef bones? Will femur bones work? I'll probably be making this in a slow cooker, but maybe in a dutch oven on my gl top stove--it cooks almost like a slow cooker. I'm not real handy with a pressure cooker, but could try it. He's not eating, and would love a great stew. I'm just not good with stew. I plan to brown the meat first rolled in flour or corn starch. What spices should I use? What good running events are there in Scotland in 2012?

I would like to take part in some sort of running event i.e. a marathon. I have never ran a marathon before I'll be starting with a half marathon. I'd like to do a fundraising one hopefully. I'd be starting training for it soon so i'm fit enough to at least jog half the run, as i'm not the fittest and also doing this to lose weight.

How different are WMA and MP3?

WMA and MP3 compress audio files differently so they have a reasonable file size to put on a computer or music player. mp3 is the "industry standard" audio format, in other words it's the most commmon. It's been around since about 1980. wma is mircrosoft's audio format, and I think it's only been around for a couple of years. Microsoft claims that if you compress an audio file using mp3 format, you can get the same quality compressing it w/ wma, for only half the size. In other words, wma is twice as good as mp3. It has been debated whether or not this is true. Another thing to add about wma is that it is generally the format of songs that available from online music stores (napster, yahoo etc) although not on itunes.

At home treatment for bad breakout after bikini wax?

Why does my plate heat up in the microwave? (no water)?

I put a serving for one of a frozen cerole (which is in a small rectangular plastic container 10cm long/6cm wide/7cm deep) on a normal sized flat plate (in case of spills). I auto-defrost it, which takes the microwave about 7 or 8 minutes. Why, at the end of this, is the entire flat plate too hot to hold? Microwaves heat up water and there is no water in the plate. Obviously the bit of the plate with the plastic container on it would heat up a little from the heat from the plastic container... but I'm talking about the furthermost rim of the plate. How did that get hot?

How to get Duck Tape adhesive off aluminum siding?

During a window restoration project, I used Duck tape to hold plastic sheeting to the aluminum siding to protect the bare wood of the windows during painting. When the Duck tape was removed, some of the adhesive remained on the aluminum siding. The adhesive has hardened quite nicely and has been almost impossible to remove. This condition is rather unsightly. I need suggestions for removing this adhesive without damaging the paint on the aluminum siding.

Its just their instincts. you need to be firm with bubba, and reward him when he does what you wish. barking is far better then ripping some guys arm off, so just make sure that your dog can have the freedom to bark at the people, but not have any stranger have freedom to pet bubba and risk its arm being ripped off. Treats work pretty well. show him the treats, and if he behaves (not literally attacking the car window to get out all because someone stepped to close to the car). i would also suggest that when and if you let strangers pat him, make sure they are not towering over him, or he'll feel threatened. try getting him used to people around him, or at least 'near' (walking past) your car with him in it. it'll calm him down. My ex girlfriend broke up with me harshly on my birthday during January 2011. It was very hard for me because I loved her a lot and I've been depressed since then. Everything was hard for me to do because she was always on my mind and I missed her so much and I loved her so much and she did not feel the same. She was going out having fun and clubbing. We used to live together but had to part ways because she joined the military. She broke up with me during that time she was away because she said that she just lost love for me. She said the feelings just disappeared. Now she will be stationed at a base 2 hours from me and she told me that she still wants to hang out with me. This is where I am lost. I don't want to get hurt by her again and I don't want to fall in love with her again. Why does vista keep clearing my wallpaper?

I set the wallpaper and an hour later it's just a black background again. It's a fresh install, and has Avira, and the only software that's running is WMP. My all time favorite city is Chicago. The people are down to earth and friendly, it has the most gorgeous downtown skyline I've ever seen, the only city in the midwest that has beautiful beaches and a beautiful lakefront, alot of culture, diversity, neighborhoods, restaurants, museums and shopping. I only live in southern California, because Chicago is geographical in the wrong place and the winters can be brutal. Otherwise I'd never have left.

Hmm..."The Addams Family" would be a great choice! I personally have not seen it yet, but I've heard great things about it and might go soon! "The Lion King" is a really amazing show that everyone usually enjoys. "Chicago" is also a wonderful show, but it is a bit less kid friendly (has themes such as murder, violence, and adultery) but it would certainly be appropriate for a 15 year old as nothing is very graphic at all.
