Sun and equator?

If you are anywhere in the tropics (that is to say, if you are within 23 1/2 degrees latitude from the equator), there will be at least one day a year, usually two days, when the sun pes directly overhead at local noon. There is nowhere on Earth where the sun pes directly overhead every single day.
