Looking at moving to Jadawel-Riyadh for one year... Advice?

My husband will more than likely be accepting a job in Jadawel-Riyadh (we still have a few details, things to discuss before diving in head first). It's a one year commitment. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know if you can bring the family pet (dog), from the U.S.? Not sure of what the "laws" may be... We've both travelled abroad, in our previous careers - but moving is a whole 'nother story. Thanks again!
