What would you say to a guy who was suicidal?

I would tell him that his past success' in ________ are just a good indicator that he can be successful in many more things and who knows he might even find something he likes better. There are soo many directions he can go in this world. I would tell him that life is a gift, and many, many people would trade their lives for his in an instant. I would also let him know that I think suicide is very very selfish. It forces sorrow and tragedy upon those who love him, leaving them to deal with a sickening mess and emotional issues similar to the ones he was too selfish to step up and deal with himself. I would let him know these feelings are only temporary and that when one door closes, 10 more can open, if you yourself are open to the options
