Settings for my Crate Gx-130c Half Stack?

I need to find some settings for the new Crate GX-130c Head and 4 x 12 Cabinet I've purchased. I made the final decision of purchasing this baby, after I read of Jack Owen using it to record Cannibal Corpse's "The Bleeding" album. I need some settings for the head to achieve the Authentic heavy Death Metal Distortion sound! I also would like you to give me a list of the proper equipment I should use with my new girlfriend "the amp of course". I have one Digitech Rp-50 and a Digitech Death Metal. I was wondering if I could use the Rp-50 as a equalizer and compressor as well?
