My betta fish started acting weird after i put a heater in his tank. why?

when you put the heater in did you just set it at 75F right away or did you raise the temperature gradually? because a rapid change in temperature is stressful for fish. also you should(if it is adjustable) put the temperature to like 78F instead of 75F.
